Can be seen as:pro-LeBron (WOW, amazing durability and consistency, year after year, whereas Michael had 2 retirements), anti-LeBron (less rings, Finals MVPs, Season MVPs, All-Star MVPs, points in the same time).

It’s a problem now’LeBron James’ not happy LaVar Ball’s latest comments. LaVar Ball is up to something again. According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, he now has LeBron James angry with him. Earlier in March, Ball spoke out about LeBron’s sons on an episode of the In the Zone with Chris Broussard podcast. In that episode Ball mentioned that his sons would have a better chance in the NBA than James’, suggesting that it would be too hard to live up to James’ legacy. James told ESPN on Tuesday that Ball should “Keep my kids’ name out of your mouth, keep my family out of your mouth. This is dad to dad. It’s a problem now.” Specifically, Ball said the following the podcast: “The monsters in the NBA, their dads wasn’t that good. They were okay, they was players, but the fact that the old Curry wasn’t no All-Star, he wasn’t cold. He could shoot the ball, though. Kobe Bryant, his dad wasn’t all that, that’s why he’s such a monster.” He followed that up with the next set of quotes, “You got LeBron, it’s going to be hard for his kids because they are going to look at them like, ‘You got to be just like your dad.’ And after a while, that pressure starts sitting on you like, ‘Why do I got to be just like him? What can’t I just be me?’ And then they are going to be like, ‘Aw, you’re soft, you’re not that good.’ Because the expectation is very, very high.” James’ sons are making a name for themselves already and ESPN reported last summer that, LeBron James Jr. or Bronny as they call him, already has verbal offers from Duke and Kentucky. James knows his sons will have to deal with enough of a media circus surrounding them as they get older. He doesn’t need Ball adding to that. You can already see how good 12-year-old Bronny is below. James’ youngest son, Bryce, is nine-years-old and has his own set of highlights on YouTube. Meanwhile, Ball has not been shy about speaking out about his own family recently. His son, Lonzo Ball, is currently playing in the NCAA tournament and son LaMelo scored 92 points earlier this season in a high school game. Ball has been known to say things like he would beat Michael Jordan in a game of 1-on-1 and that his son will only play for the Lakers, and that’s just to name a few of his outlandish comments. With all of the drama that has recently been surrounding Ball, you can’t blame James for wanting to keep his family far away from it.
