Sweet thai chilli chicken … You need: 1 tbsp vegetable oil 200 g chicken drumsticks , skin removed 100 g green beans , cut into strips 100 g cauliflower , cut diagonally 80 g carrots, sliced diagonally 2mm thick 1 cup Sweet Thai Chilli sauce To make: Heat the oil in a wok or pan over a high heat. Add the chicken and stir-fry for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through. wowza, i just now realized how much i fucked up tonight’s workout because i misread it on the board when i got to class. i am still new to OHS, so i kept it light-ish and did three triples at 80lbs. have to keep in mind to constantly push against the bar, activating my upper and mid back. stability will come through bracing the shoulders, but more work can be done there. in terms of the mistakes tonight, here’s the running tally:1. i thought the hang power snatches were hang power cleans. i’m much better at cleaning and barely understand how to snatch. 2. i thought we were doing 12 snatches, so i did 3 extra each time. 3. i wanted to try something new, so i asked the coach to show me how to do a banded pull-up (which felt good, but are still petrifying). when he asked if i was all set i said yeah it’s OK but i’d want it a little harder to do 3 of them – he said in passing “well it’s 6″ and i thought he meant i’d end up doing 6 pull-ups all together, meaning i’d go through the circuit twice, and i was like “pshaw!!! i’ll do more than 6!” 4. those options at the bottom, the alpha, bravo, charlie, delta – they were written on the board at class but i totally forgot that they meant scaling options, so i literally started as is written and just scaled back to bravo, then to charlie, during the workout. 5. i’m still semi-sick. my asthma flare up is in FULL EFFECT. IT AIN’T EASY STAYING WHEEZY Y’ALL!!! 6. I FORGOT MY TRACKER. does a workout even count if you didn’t track it????!?!???sometimes you have great days and you can plan and program with the best of them. some days you forget how to spell your last name. it was a humbling day to say the least.
